I was contacted by Berlin-based Ein Guter Plan to create illustrations for a book designed to help children understand their feelings. The idea was to create a set of monsters that each represented a different emotion. The book, Ein gutes Gefühl, is a diary that allows children to playfully get to know their feelings, express gratitude, and reflect on what they have experienced. The book contains puzzles and handicraft pages, stickers, and illustrations that represent a gentle introduction to the subject of self-reflection. From the founder of Ein Guter Plan, Jan Lenarz, in collaboration with the renowned child and adolescent psychotherapist Lena Kuhlmann.
In 2024, Ein gutes Gefühl was translated into English (A Good Feeling). That same year, two more books were published--Ein gutes Gefühl 2 and Das Kleine Book Der Guten Gefühle. In 2025, plans were made for a new series of narrative books with stories that focus on a single emotion.
